Ellis Fitzroy Smith

Ellis Fitzroy Smith (born 1900) Peter's father and Maddie Smith who married Harry Dyer. May English was one of five daughters Dorothy who married Leslie Davies, Gladys who married Arthur Whally, Florence (Flo) who married Fred Hardy and they had a daughter Beryl (who remained a spinster), Olive who remained a spinster. Ellis married May English in 1925, two year later on the 4th September 1927 Peter Charles Smith was born at St Mary's Hospital ManchesterPeters father joined the civil service (Ministry of Transport), shortly after they moved to Stockport and then they moved to Preston. Ellis suffered from rheumatoid arthritis, so in 1944 they moved to Bristol and stayed with an aunt in Fishponds Bristol
